Time...

So, it's been months since bothering to write anything. Honestly, I haven't much put pen to paper either. It's so tiring, life and all that. Being uprooted in everything but His Word, well, it's exhausting. I even started a new blog. dumb. But I need a place to put it all out there and maybe someone will bother to read. Here, no one knows about this, unless random strangers happen by. But I don't even know how people find other people here. Still learning about this place. This place, blogspot or the world...I dunno.

Russia is just around the corner. Then Missouri, then Kentucky for seminary. A chance to get settled for a bit...finally.

Disappointment

Yesterday was pretty disappointing. Why did I have to meet a nice guy who thought I was pretty when I'm heading out of the country? Ah well...that's life sometimes. Gotta keep trusting in His plan. Just waiting...on a lot of things...

The Big Day...

Been ridiculously busy. Tomorrow, families will fill the campus and the make-shift flower shops will set up shop along with food vendors. It'll be a circus. Oh graduation! This time I'm in it! Oh man. Awkward it will be...a few people from every aspect of my life gathering together in one place. Eeek. Anyways, I'm exhausted and have lots of things to do. Off I go...

Two More Months...

Wow...almost done with Month One of Pagoda. Been intense. Today I saw the musical 42nd Street with Ju-Young. She's a great person, interesting stories. Such a blessing to have had her as a student...and again next month. She's even heading to Chicago, most likely for like 8 months starting in March. I'll definitely need to visit her up there. Anyways, what are the odds? She paid for the tickets (NOT cheap) and even gave me a book! SO encouraging!
Anyways, not really good at keeping up with writing or saying anything worth reading...thoughts aren't focused. One day...

Intense...

I'm definitely not called to work a 9-5 job. The 9-6 is sorta killing me. I barely have a life. Work, home, work, home...crazy. I dunno. The bus is crazy-full on the commute both ways. I don't know how I can survive 3 months of this. Seriously, it's too much for me. At the same time, it's kind of just passing by. It's going too quickly, faster than being IN school...teaching is for real. I already am learning a lot. PREPARATION is key! And well, as much as I used to be really self-conscious about my weight or appearance, especially sweaty pits, I just don't care anymore! Haha. I mean, I sort of do, but whatever, nothing I can do about it. Anyways, I for real gotta get these papers edited and such and get to bed by 10! TGIF FOR REAL!

A New Year...

And I'm already behind on what should be done. I have about 10 hours to get all my lesson plans done. Ew. Tomorrow it begins...a life sold out to English teaching from 9 am to 6 pm Mondays through Fridays for 3 months. If my life is sold to them, then I need to act like it. It's my mission field, it's where I will get my energy, it's the place I will learn from and hopefully grow.

So weird how my life is always broken down into segments. This 3-month period is filled, then onto the next, another 3 months of waiting and tying up lose ends, packing up my life of 5 years and moving on. Then one month of crazy action and off to America. Exciting and a little overwhelming.

What will the new year bring? I don't know...but I can't wait to find out!

Two More Hours...

Almost a new year. Weird. My first New Year's in Korea was spent at my mom's. Watching Doctor Zhivago or whatever while my mom was falling asleep. The next year I went to church at Youngnak and then we went to Pastor Bill's house after. The following year I went to Jong-gak, the place of the big Buddhist bell in the middle of Seoul, millions of people. I was with Calvin and Jeter, my head almost burned from the ashes of the Roman candles. Then last year I was with Esther, Stephani, and Anita at Starbucks. Steph left around 10:30 pm or something, Esther went to church across the street around 11 and then Anita and went home and celebrated the new year quietly. Tonight, I am home alone working on lessons plans for work which starts the day after tomorrow. No joke. Been really long since I was alone on New Year's, maybe 6 years? Kind of sad. But it's a good way to start the new year, I think. More time to reflect...who knows what next year will bring. Likely I will be in the US...maybe with family? The twist and turns...

Happy New Year!
